St. Mary’s High School Stadium: RAGE was tied with Cargo until the 52nd minute, but ultimately struggled to maintain possession in the second half and convert their offensive opportunities into goals. COACH’S QUOTE:
“It was a very difficult result to take tonight,” Fawcett said. “The scoreline doesn’t reflect the performance our players put in. Since the Oakland match, we’ve shown clear growth in our passing accuracy, possession, and ability to create chances in front of goal. The team continues to develop and improve every game, which is encouraging. That said, we have to be more clinical in the final third and make the most of the opportunities we create. If we continue to build on tonight’s performance and convert those chances, the results will come.”

RAGE had real opportunities to score throughout the second half, but suffered due to a low shot accuracy percentage and limited possession compared to Cargo. Breakaway plays by Cargo, coupled with high shooting accuracy, contributed to a scoreline that reflects a more lopsided match than overall play suggested.
