RAGE USL W INTERNSHIP APPLICATION
Visual Media Internship
VISUAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP
Pleasanton RAGE is a top amateur women’s soccer team which competes in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), the largest women’s soccer league in the world. The team is comprised largely of players based in the greater Bay area and seeks to serve the community that built the foundation for many of the players’ success. The team is looking for qualified interns to help tell the story of the team as it competes in the WPSL for its second season. Members of the Visual Media team will curate content for the Pleasanton RAGE website, social media outlets and other publicity.
OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of the Pleasanton RAGE Visual Media Internship is to provide hands-on experience in the visual marketing and documentation of a top amateur sports team.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Capture and edit team and individual photos
– Capture and edit training photos (once/week)
– Develop photo and video database
– Film all games (1-2/week)
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
– Excellent photography and videography skills
– Access to a full-frame DSLR camera
– Experience with Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop
– Experience with Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
– Excellent organizational and communication skills
– Evening and weekend availability
DURATION:
The internship will run from April to early July
HOURS AND COMPENSATION:
Interns should expect to put in 15-20 hours per week, including field and office work. This is an unpaid internship.

Social Media Intern

Members of the Social Media team will tell the story of the team through Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of the Pleasanton RAGE Social Media Internship is to provide hands-on experience in the marketing of a top amateur sports team.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Create graphics and text for daily posts
– Edit and publish 15 second highlight videos to all social media outlets
– Collaborate with Public Relations team to promote and document team events
– Live tweet all games (1-2/week)
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
– Excellent understanding of social media rules and best practice
– Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign
– Experience with Adobe Premier Pro or Final Cut Pro
– Excellent organizational and communication skills
– Evening and weekend availability

SPORTS MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP
Pleasanton RAGE is a top amateur women’s soccer team which competes in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), the largest women’s soccer league in the world. The team is comprised largely of players based in the greater Bay area and seeks to serve the community that built the foundation for many of the players’ success. The team is looking for qualified interns to help tell the story of the team as it competes in the WPSL for its second season. Members of the Sports Management team will coordinate the off-field functions of the team, particularly on game days.
OBJECTIVE:
The primary objective of the Pleasanton RAGE Sports Management Internship is to provide hands-on experience in the operation of a top amateur sports team.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Oversee game day functions potentially including ticketing, production, halftime and pregame entertainment, concessions and other activities as necessary
– Organize themes for each of the four home games (i.e. “youth soccer night”)
– Create itineraries for each of the 4 away trips
– Aid in day-to-day logistical operation of the team
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
– Excellent organizational and communication skills
– Evening and weekend availability
– Production and entertainment experience
– Creative and self-motivated
